The KU Mind Health Institute at Korea University (Director: Professor Choi Ki-Hong) was recognized as an outstanding institution in youth policy for 2025 and received a commendation from the Seoul Metropolitan Government on December 22.

The institute has supported isolated and reclusive youth through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-based counseling and AI-powered non-face-to-face services, helping improve mental health and social reintegration. It was praised for applying scientifically validated psychological services in real-world settings.

By partnering with multiple organizations, the institute has built a community-based psychological support network and expanded its impact to diverse groups, including multicultural youth and the elderly. It also continues to contribute academically by addressing social isolation and digital mental health solutions.
