Professor Sung Yong-Jun Named 31st President of Korean Society for Advertising

 Professor Sung Yong-Jun of Korea University’s Department of Psychology will become the 31st president of the Korean Society for Advertising on April 4, serving a one-year term.

He holds a Ph.D. in Advertising from the University of Georgia and previously taught at the University of Texas at Austin. He has also served as president of the Korean Society for Consumer Advertising Psychology and editor-in-chief of Journal of Advertising Research.

His research was recognized in the “Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide” list in 2024 and 2025. The inauguration will be held at Korea University’s Hyundai Motor Business Center during the society’s Spring Annual Conference.

Founded in 1989, the Korean Society for Advertising has about 1,200 members and publishes the KCI-indexed Journal of Advertising Research, promoting both academic research and industry development.
