2026 Spring Semester Department of Psychology TNT Program
1. Program Purpose
Many high-achieving students admitted to the Department of Psychology often take private tutoring or part-time jobs to support themselves financially or help with family financial difficulties. To discourage non-educational part-time work and provide academic support for international students struggling with major courses, the Department of Psychology has operated the TNT Program since the Spring Semester of 2022.
2. Eligibility Requirements
A. Tutor
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in the Department of Psychology
- Have a cumulative GPA and previous semester GPA of 3.75 or higher
(students exceeding the regular semester limit are not eligible) - Have earned a grade of 4.0 or higher in the tutoring subject
- Be a junior or senior (3rd or 4th year students only)
- Apply for up to three preferred tutoring subjects
- Be selected based on academic performance and financial circumstances stated in the application

B. Tutee
Applicants must:
- Be an international undergraduate student in the Department of Psychology experiencing difficulties in major courses
- Have a GPA of 3.5 or below in the previous semester
(students on academic probation may also apply) - Have no restriction on academic year
- Apply for up to two subjects

C. Tutoring Subjects
Core required and major core courses, including:
- Foundations of Psychology 1
- Sensation and Perception Psychology
- Foundations of Psychology 2
- Biological Psychology
- Introductory Psychological Statistics
- Developmental Psychology
- Social Psychology
3. Number of Participants
- Tutors: Up to 0 students
- Tutees: Up to 0 students
※ Additional participants may be recruited depending on subject demand.
4. Tutor Benefits
- Scholarship 지급 upon submission of monthly weekly reports
(KRW 300,000 per month based on 3 hours per week for 4 weeks) - Certificate of Participation issued after submission of the final report
※ Scholarship payment may be suspended in cases of poor participation, including:
- Unexcused absences
- Tutee withdrawal
- Failure or delay in submitting reports
5. Tutor Scholarship Budget (Draft)
- KRW 300,000 per month based on 3 hours per week for 4 weeks
- Maximum KRW 600,000 per semester

6. Activity Period
May 11, 2026 (Mon) – June 20, 2026 (Fri)
(6 weeks excluding midterm/final exam periods and weekends)
7. Program Operation
- Program period: Weeks 10–16 of the semester
(excluding midterm/final exam periods and weekends) - Tutor-to-tutee ratio: Maximum 1:3 group matching
- Total tutoring hours per semester: 24 or 30 hours
- Minimum: 2 hours per week
- Maximum: 6 hours per week
- Up to two tutoring subjects per semester
※ Both tutors and tutees may participate in up to two subjects, but the total tutoring hours must equal either:
- 24 hours (2 hours/week), or
- 30 hours (3 hours/week)
- Schedules must be arranged in consultation with the tutor, tutee, and assigned teaching assistant between 09:00 and 21:00.
- Schedule changes require prior approval at least 3 days in advance.
(No more than 3 schedule changes per semester)
Required Submissions
- Monthly weekly report (Tutor)
- Final report after program completion (Tutor)
- Survey forms after program completion (Tutor & Tutee)
8. Important Notes
- Tutees who withdraw during the semester will not be eligible to apply for the TNT Program in the following semester.
- Tutees may receive tutoring for a maximum of four courses during their enrollment.
However, students with a previous semester GPA below 2.5 may be allowed to exceed this limit after review.
