Empowering Communities through Evidence-Based Psychological Services Integrated with ICT, AI, and Clinical Psychology
KUSMI Lab
Professor Kee-Hong Choi
The KUSMI Lab conducts a wide range of research projects centered on evidence-based psychological interventions, with a primary focus on Behavioral Activation and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ongoing work includes the development and application of evidence-based psychotherapy, Korea-specific assessments of depression and anxiety, and multidimensional personality assessment systems.
ICT and AI
The lab integrates ICT and AI technologies into evidence-based psychological services, taking a leading role in expanding access to effective mental health services within local communities.
Promoting Mental Health in Public and Community Settings
Research projects include the development of a mental health management app for older adults (“Dasi Bom”), AI-based approaches to addressing social isolation, climate anxiety assessment tools that account for climate-related distress, evaluation tools for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and psychological support programs for disaster survivors. Through these initiatives, the lab contributes to improving mental health and well-being in community and public-sector contexts.
